Ruth Rae Locker Preston

November 17, 1925 — September 13, 2017

Ruth Rae Locker Preston, 91, widow of Paul Preston, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, September 13, 2017. Ruth was born November 17, 1925 in Jessamine County to the late Walter E. and Laura Burdine Locker. She was a lifelong resident of Jessamine county and a retired employee of Farmers Bank. Family survivors are a son, Danny (Linda) Preston, two grandsons, Danny Jr. (Betsy), and Marc (Beatrice) Preston, eight great grandchildren, Christopher (Danielle), Whitney, and Timothy Preston, Amberly (Hunter) Brislin, Madison (Hayden) Keeton, Chloe, Macy, and Marc-Allen Preston, one great great grandchild, Avery Grace Keeton, two sisters, Pansy Hurt and Pauline Hager, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Stern Conley, Bill and Paul Locker, and two sisters, Geneva Fain and Rena Carter. Funeral service will be 7:00 PM Friday at Betts & West Funeral Home with pastor Wally Rendel and Pastor Tommy Morrow officiating. Burial will be 10:30 Saturday at Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home. Bearers will be Heath, Troy, Mac, and William A. Hager, Christopher, Timothy and Marc-Allen Preston. Honorary bearers will be Eddie Dean Locker, Scott Paxson, Billy Riley, Louis Grall, Barbara Russell, Rosemary Flannery, and Jimmy Welch.
