Ruthie Mae Shelton Turner

Ruthie Mae Shelton Turner, 74 of Andrea Drive, Nicholasville, widow of Raymond Turner, died Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at her home. She was born on April 16, 1934 in Livingston Kentucky, the daughter of the late Chester and Maggie Sturgill Shelton.

She was employed by Libby Mc Neil & Libby. Survivors include three daughters, Debby (Allen) Smithson of Whitley City, KY; Vickie Carden and Bobbi (Gordon) Ironmonger of Nicholasville, KY, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Additional survivors include her siblings, Denver, Virgil and Eddie Shelton all of Indiana; and her sisters, Ruby King, Jaley Bullington, Jean Henderson, Sue Mitchell, Thelma Allen and Darlene Shelton. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Perry and Kenny Shelton and a sister, Janie Shelton. Private funeral services to be scheduled at a later date.
