Scottie Laverna Shouse

Scottie Laverna Shouse, 88, widow of Charles Bradley Shouse, Sr., passed away Sunday, July 7, 2024, in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born in Itman, West Virginia, on July 12, 1935, to the late Theodore Radford and Gladys Virginia Short. She is survived by her sons, Charles Bradley Shouse, Jr. (Susan), and Robert Dale Shouse (Vena); sister, Charlotte Seneriz; grandchildren, Jessica Shouse, and Michael Shouse (Tasha Miller); great-grandchildren, Tyler Miller, Kelsey Baker, Trevor Baker, Tristan Shouse, and Caleb Casey; as well as special friends, Jim Dobbs, and Cindy Cross. In addition to her husband, Charles, she is preceded by her parents, Theodore and Gladys; stepfather, Jack Sizemore; and brother, Benny Sizemore and his wife Mary. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, July 10, at Betts & West Funeral Home. Burial will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday, July 12, at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Prosperity, West Virginia. Betts & West is honored to serve Scottie and her family in their time of need.
