Seth Mulcahy

Nicholasville-Seth Mulcahy, 28, passed Saturday, June 25, 2016. He was the son of Ricky and Agnes Sue Mulcahy and father of Dani Welch. He was a member of Heart Lodge #61 and a Sergeant in the United States Army having served in Afghanistan in Operation Enduring Freedom. He was a graduate of BCTC and was pursuing his degree in English and Journalism at UK. Seth was an avid UK basketball and football fan, loved God, family and country. He loved reading and was a gifted creative writer. His favorite thing in the world was spending time with his loving daughter. He is also survived by a sister, Rebecca Mulcahy, a brother, Josh, (Angela) Mulcahy, a nephew, Jordan, nieces Adley and Avery, a special uncle, 'Doodle' Peel, aunts, Rebecca (Buck) Wallace, Sharon (Bob) Carver, uncles, Bruce (Carolyn), Robbie (Linda) and Robert (Lisa) Mulcahy, special cousins, John (Haylee) Wallace, Robby Carver, numerous other cousins and relatives, special friends, Jonathan Whiteside, Jonathan Whitaker, Anthony Yobbi and his other battle buddies. Services will be 1:00pm Thursday at Betts & West Funeral Home with John Wallace officiating and burial to follow in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8pm Wednesday. Bearers will be Josh and Jordan Mulcahy, Doodle Peel, John Wallace, Bob Carver, Buck Baker and Doug Billips. Honorary bearers will be Bruce, Robbie and Robert Mulcahy, Paul 'Sanky' Bingham, Nick Sevastakis, Kevin Corman, Andy Midkiff, Jonathan Whiteside, Johathan Whitaker, Joe Walker and Earl Mason.
