Shirley Ann Mulcahy

April 1, 1961 — May 26, 2012

Shirley Ann Mulcahy, 51, of South Second Street, died unexpectedly May 26, 2012. She was a charter member of the New Hope Fellowship Church, was retired from the Jessamine County Library after 29 years of service, was a KY Colonel and was involved in numerous civic activities. She was the daughter of Katherine Marie Gardner Mulcahy and the late Earnest Mulcahy. Additional survivors include two sisters, Linda Sue Peel and Sharon Kay Hurst, two brothers, Darrell Lynn (Susan) Mulcahy and Anthony Lane Peel, thirty three nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Dale Mulcahy. Services will be 1:00pm Wednesday at New Hope Fellowship Church with Rev. Ronald Riley officiating. Burial will follow in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the church from 5-9pm today. Bearers will be Darrell Mulcahy, Anthony, Gregory, Carlos and David Peel, Taylor Hurst, Willie Howard and David Lee Brown. Honorary bearers will be Richard Stipe, Tony Howard, George Johns, Mark Tolson, Jerry Spurlock and Michael Hurst. Betts & West Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
