Shirley Faye Land

Shirley Faye Land, 82, widow of Stanley Land, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at her home on Christopher Drive, Nicholasville, Kentucky. She was born in Wilmore, Kentucky, on April 21, 1942, to the late Lawrence Goforth and Catherine Fain. Shirley was a member of the Wesley Chapel Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Mae Hurt; brother, Freddie Goforth; grandchildren, Megan Sweeting and Salem Hurt; and great-grandchild, Marley Sweeting. In addition to her husband, Stanley, she is preceded in death by siblings Roland, Billy, Charles, Jerry, David, Roy, Ronnie, and Donnie Goforth. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, September 16, at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Roy Stinnett officiating.
