Shirley Mae Lakes Brigance-Vaughn

Shirley Mae Lakes Brigance-Vaughn, 71 wife of Paul Vaughn, died July 27, 2008. She was born August 14, 1936 in Jackson County to the late Clarence and Rose Shell Lakes. She was retired from IBM, a member of Old Paris Road Church of God, Christian Motorcycle Association, Al-Anon and Ladies Ministries. She was a loving and devoted mother to Tanya (Brian) Jett, a son Terry Brigance, a grandmother to Olivia Jett, a aunt to Jimmy Lakes and is survived by other family members. Services will be 10:00 Wednesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Whitaker officiating and burial to follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Bearers will be Robbie Bennett, Terry Brigance, Brian Jett, James Lakes, Mike Moberly and Paul A. Vaughn.
