Shirley Marie Curtsinger Locker, 79, widow of Paul Dean Locker, passed away January 7, 2016 at her residence. She was born in Mercer County on January 16, 1936 to the late Claude and Sallie Snyder Curtsinger. Shirley was a member of the First Assembly of God of Nicholasville, a EKU Alumnus and retired State Probation Parole Officer. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and all of her family. Shirley is survived by one son Eddy Deanie (Sharon) Locker, two daughters, Pauletta (Gary) Embry and Laura Mink. She was Granny to 5 grandchildren, Chad Embry, Lori Embry (Bo Nease), Paul (Jennifer) Locker, Joe (Jamie) Locker and Tabatha (William) Mink. She was blessed with 14 great grandchildren, one brother W.J. Curtsinger. She is also preceded in death by three brothers Claude Jr, Cecil and Harlet Curtsinger, one sister Oneida Curd. She is alos survived by a special friend, Geraldine Davis and other family members and friends . Funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 AM Monday, January 11, 2016 at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
