Stanley Stinnett, Sr., 92, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2023, in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born at Jig Water, in Jessamine County, on June 26, 1930, to the late Elzie Stinnett and Eunice Blakeman Stinnett. Stanley was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Korean War where he received a purple heart and a bronze star and he was a member of Logana Baptist Church. He is survived by his son, Stanley Stinnett, Jr.; special niece, Wanda Huddleston also his best fishing buddy Bobby Huddleston as well as many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was the last of his siblings and was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 25, at Betts & West Funeral Home, with Bro. Ben Faulconer officiating. Burial will follow at Mose Reynolds Cemetery, where bearers will be Dwayne Pettit, Jonathan Tipton, Willie Pettit, Sonny Huddleston, Amos Huddleston, and Alex Fogle. Visitation will be held the evening prior, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, Monday, at the funeral home. Betts & West is honored to serve the Stinnett family in their time of need.
