Stephen Ronald Stephenson

Stephen R. Stephenson, 63, son of the late Elmer and Catherine Stephenson passed this life to be with the lord on Sunday, May 5, 2013, after a lengthy illness. Stephen touched so many people with his larger than life personality, as all the young ones, who are grown now, still call him 'Daddy Steve', because of all the love and guidance he always gave all the kids. Steve and his father Elmer maintained Jess #1, South Elkorn and Spears water district, for thirty plus years of devotion to his work. Steve is survived by his wife Darlene, three sons, Michael R. Stephenson, Stephen B. Stephenson and Robbie Stephenson, eight grandchildren, a sister, Linda Brown, a dear friend, Randy Ransdell and a special nephew, Bobby Carter. Steve was preceded in death by his wife of thirty years, Deborah L. Stephenson. Steve will be greatly missed by all whom he's touched with his love, kindness and knowledge. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Stephenson fund, in care of Kentucky Bank. A celebration of his life will be held 4:00 pm Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Betts & West Funeral Home.
