Susan Elizabeth Rhineheimer Johns

Susan Elizabeth Rhineheimer Johns, wife of Creed Johns for 70 years, died on January 28, 2018. Susan was born November 27, 1926 in Jessamine County. She was the daughter of the late George Rhineheimer, Sr. and Anna Elizabeth Buffin Rhineheimer. She is survived by children Virginia Johns (Garry, deceased) Simpson, Robert Forbes (Sankey) Johns, and Georgia Johns (Reed) Bolus; grandchildren Brooke, Jayme, Jeremy, and Keene; great-grandchildren Morgann (Dustin), Sam, Shelby, Walker, and Mollie; and great-granddaughter Renley. Also surviving are nieces and nephews. All siblings preceded her in death: Hazel, Roy, Arthur, and George, Jr.. Susan retired from The Farmers Bank where she served as teller and bookkeeper. She was a member of Crosswoods Baptist Church. Funeral service will be 12:30 PM Wednesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Stephen Bruce officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM Wednesday until time of service. Pallbearers will be grandsons, great-grandsons, and other family members. Burial will be at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Memorial donations suggested to Bluegrass Care Navigators (Hospice) or Crosswoods Baptist Church.
