Texas Sue McIntosh, 75, widow of David McIntosh Jr., passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Pine Meadows Post Acute Care in Lexington. She was born in Breathitt County on September 29, 1948, to the late Coy Hall and Almaray Gross Hall. She is survived by her son, Gary McIntosh (Carla); daughter, Angela Sue Young (Mark); sisters, Tanzalee Burnett (Jim), Anna Finley (Doug), and Brenda Turner; grandchildren, Alexandria Collins (T.J.), David E. Young, Jordan Curtsinger (Josh), Corey Zacher (Taylor), and Travis Zacher; as well as great-grandchildren, Jorden Ripley Collins, Reese Curtsinger, and Hayes Zacher. In addition to her husband, David, she is preceded in death by brothers, Wilbert Hall, Ambrose Hall, and Johnny Hall; and sisters, Barbara Thomas, and Eva Feltner. Services will be held at 9:30 AM, Monday, October 30, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Finley officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, where bearers will be T.J. Collins, David E. Young, Josh Curtsinger, Corey Zacher, Travis Zacher, Joe Barnette, and Tony Turner. Visitation will be held from 8:30 AM until the time of service, Monday, at the funeral home. The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to the staff at Pine Meadows for the care and compassion they showed for Texas. Memorial contributions are suggested to go to Bethel Missionary Baptist Church (552 Ash St., Lexington, KY 40508). Betts & West is honored to serve the McIntosh family in their time of need.
