Thomas Lee Carter

Thomas Lee Carter, 81, husband of Geneva Ruth Yates Carter, died Friday, January 4, 2013. He was born January 9, 1931 in Lexington, KY to the late Allie D. and Rachel Rarden Carter. Thomas was a retired electrician. He was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church and loved his church activities, was a song leader for many years and loved UK basketball and sports. Additional survivors are four children Michael Lemar Carter. Leonard Lee (Melanie) Carter, Jana Ruth Baker, Sonya Renee (Jeff) McClanahan, five grandchildren, Rob (Emilie) Carter, Jason (Tammy) Carter, Michelle (Clint) Goodwin, Larry Celena) Baker and Melissa (Joe) Hammond, six great grandchildren, Jordan Carter, Savannah Carter, C.J. Goodwin, Colton Goodwin, Kylee Goodwin and Shaniah Carter and other family members. He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Christy Carter and his three siblings. A Celebration of Life Service will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Lighthouse Baptist Church. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 8, 2013 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the church. Bearers will be Mike Carter, Lee carter, Rob Carter, Larry Baker, Joe Hammond, Clint Goodwin and Jason Carter. Honorary Bearers will be C.J. and Colton Goodwin.
