Tom Cruse Jr.

Tom Cruse Jr., 81, husband of Vina Powell Cruse, of Beechmont Drive, died Monday, January 14, 2008 after a long illness. He was a veteran of both the Army and Air Force. He was a native of Jackson County and was the son of the late Tom and Lue Jalley Morris Cruse. Additional survivors include two sons, Lowell Cruse-Nicholasville and David Cruse-Lexington, a daughter, Bertha (Woody) Tipton-Irvine, four grandchildren, Parrish Cruse, Robbie (Krissy) Muncie, Michael (Kristi) Muncie and Mike (Lisa) Tipton, five great grandchildren, McKeely, Chase, Maci and Lexi Muncie and Molly Tipton, five sisters, Hattie Brockman, Christine Day, Gertrude Powell, Patricia Harrison and Joyce Malicote and three brothers, Hershel, Donald Ray and Wendell Cruse. He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Ty Cruse, seven sisters and five brothers. Services will be 12:30 PM Thursday, January 17, 2008 at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Buford officiating. Visitation will be from 5:30-9:00 PM Wednesday. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Family members will serve as bearers.
