Nicholasville-Valerie Ann Hager Adkins, 35, wife of Wesley Adkins, daughter of Burch and Debbie Parks Hager and mother of Tyler Jo Murphy and Savannah Lillian Adkins, died Wednesday May 5, 2010 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was a 1993 graduate of Jessamine County High School and attended Lexington Community College, she was a former member of 4-H and FFA and was known for her love of horses and music. She is also survived by a sister, Misty Lemay Hager, a brother, Joshua Todd Hager, mother and father in law, Wes and Drema Adkins, maternal grandparents, Bobby and Ann Parks, paternal grandmother, Mary Anna Hager, aunts and uncles, Terry Hager, Johnny (Donna) Hager, Jan (Mike) Hager, Teresa Walker, cousins, Anna Hughes, Karen Hager, Hope Hager, Vance (Vickie) Hager, Chastity Garner, Aaron (Karen) Hager, Deana Tuminski and Jeremy Walker. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Bob Hager, a cousin, John Michael Hager, an aunt Brenda Hager, a special great grandmother, Lillian Fain and a special friend Nolie Blakeman. Services will be 2:00pm Monday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Sean Shroll and Mickey Stinnett officiating. Burial will follow in the House Cemetery. Visitation will be from Noon-9pm Sunday and from 10:00am-2:00pm Monday. Bearers will be Josh, Vance and Aaron Hager, John Murphy, Norman Messer, Mike, Tommy and Jimmy Gill and Joe Morris. Honorary bearers will be Tyler Murphy, Karen Hager, Anna Hughes, Hope Hager, Tonya Messer, Lisa Caban, Joan Reynolds, Melanie Fairchild, Chasity Garner, Deana Tuminski and Jeremy Walker.
