Vernon Thomas Baker

Vernon Thomas Baker, 70, widower of Anna Frances Baker, of Lorraine Avenue, died April 23, 2013. He was the son of Virgil and Genvia Hazel Smith Baker. Vernon enjoyed fishing, hunting, people and T.V. watching, looking after his home and chewing tobacco. Survivors include his daughter, Anna Marie Patrick, two brothers, William Alford (Rosie) Baker and Virgil Lee (Edith) Baker, four sisters, Mary Hazel (John) Newby, Marlyn (Lonnie) Naylor, Judy (John) Laird, Janet Sue (David) Dickenson and other family members. He was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Ann Bell. Services 2:00pm Thursday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Elwood Hager. Burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation 5-8pm Wednesday.
