Virgil Bryant Houp 92, widower of Francis Pauline Houp, died August 10, 2017 at the VA hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born in Ludlow, Kentucky on February 6, 1925 to the late Jackson and Fannie Alcorn Houp. He was a Member of the Roberts Chapel United Methodist Church and was a Navy Veteran serving in World War II. Virgil was a retired type set printer and a musician. Survivors include three children, Jerry Bryant (Wanda) Houp, Terry Alan (Mary) Houp and Cheryl Lynn (Terry) Parson, six grandchildren, Chris (Emily) Houp, Stephanie (Bob) Byrd, Terry Alan (Lucy) Houp Jr. , Travis (Hillary) Houp, Stacey (Tim) Oney and Brandon Hamilton and 13 great-grandchildren. Services will be 2:30PM, Monday at Camp Nelson National Cemetery with Bro. Rodney Montgomery officiating. Visitation will be from 1:30PM until time of service at Betts & West Funeral Home.
