Virginia Durbin Smith

Virginia Durbin Smith, 86, widow of Hiram Smith, died August 30, 2010 after a lengthy illness. She was the daughter of the late William and Frances Kelly Durbin. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Nicholasville Church of God and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Virginia and Lynn Hippe of Lexington and Linda and Eddie Lawson of Danville, her grandchildren, Shonie and DorLinda Brotherton of Lexington, Travis Lee of Lexington, Chuck and Teri Lawson of Lawrenceburg, James and Jason Hippe of TN and Rick and Jen Lawson of Lancaster, eight great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, two sisters Annis (Clark) Bentley of Lexington and Juanita Donavan of Lexington. She was preceded in death by two sons. Leonard and Ronald -Gale- Smith. Services will be 10am Thursday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Marshall officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8pm Wednesday. Bearers will be Robert Taylor, Brian Young, Ernie Stokley, Mark Price, Tyler Lawson and Bill Rhodus.
