Walter Hoover Peel

Walter Hoover Peel, 89, of Nicholasville, widower of Mary Ella Stinnett Peel, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2021. He was born in Jessamine County on November 26, 1932, to the late Jord Peel and Agnes Teater Peel. He was both a farmer and a veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by one son, Jeff (Kelly) Peel, a niece, Tammy Winburn, a nephew, Robbie Thornton, as well as other numerous nieces and nephews, two grandchildren, Cody Peel and Kristina Peel, and one great-grandchild, Hayvn Peel. Services will be 1 PM Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Brother John Wallace officiating. Burial to follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Brandon Shelton, Donnie Fuller, Doodle Peel, Cody Peel, David Peel, Wayne Winburn, and Jimmy Estes. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11 AM until the time of service.
