Wanda Mae-Whitmore Stucky

Wanda Mae Whitmore-Stucky, 84, wife of John Ellis Stucky, passed away Monday, March 7, 2022. She was born and raised in Navarre, Ohio on May 7, 1937 to the late Lloyd Whitmore and Gladys Salburg-Whitmore. She married her high school sweetheart John, and was married for 65 years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, John (Corky) of Dallas, TX; Dave (Pam) of Issaquah, WA; Steve (Gloria) of Wilmore, KY; one sister, Carolyn Cercone; a former daughter-in-law, Gloria Lester; six grandchildren: Hallie, Hannah, Amanda (Jesse) Orloff, Sam (Lindsey), Sarah, and Ally; as well as four great-grandchildren. She is preceded by her brother William Whitmore, and sister Gloria Whitmore. She was a loving and faithful daughter to her mother.

She was devoted to her family, and expressed her love through cooking and baking cookies. She was a thoughtful gift giver – faithfully sending birthday packages across the miles. Her love for family was undying. She was a longtime member of Saint John’s United Church of Christ in Bolivar, OH, where she served as church secretary for 11 years.

Thank you to the care staff at Wesley Village for their loving care. Wanda’s smile and gentle spirit stole all our hearts to the very end.

A memorial service will be held on April 9th at 11 a.m. at Saint John’s United Church of Christ in Bolivar, OH.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass or Saint John’s United Church of Christ.
