W.E. Billy Carson

W.E. 'Billy' Carson, 77, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016. He was born on February 28, 1939 in Wilmore, Kentucky to the late Joseph William and Adeline Sallee Carson. Billy was retired from Dixie Cup after working 37 years and he was also a lifelong farmer. Billy is survived by his loving wife Georgia Rodgers Carson, one son David Edward (Lee) Carson, one daughter Amy Lynn (Mario) Johnson, two grandsons Caleb Edward and David Kyle Carson, six brothers John D. Carson, Gerald Carson, Bobby Carson, Paul Carson, Carl Carson and Clyde Carson and two sisters Pauline Burton and Norma Jean Smith, one step brother Bobby Conn. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one step brother Dinky Conn. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Betts & West Funeral Home with Brother Bill Bales and Brother Leonard Fitch officiating. Burial will follow in the Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4-9 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Casket bearers will be Seth Combs, Charlie Falin, Robert Houp, Walter Prewitt, John Conn and Jason Jasper. Honorary bearers will be Walker Deering, Taylor Burt, John D.
