Welch H Cassity

Welch H. Cassity,103, widower of Oneida Peel Cassity, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at Baptist Health Lexington. He was born on January 3, 1921, in Nicholasville, Kentucky, to the late Ollie Cassity and Bess Teater Cassity. Welch was the owner and operator of the Teater & Cassity Farm Store in Nicholasville, Kentucky. He was a Mason for 75 years, and he loved to fish. Welch was an avid beekeeper who enjoyed visiting the local schools to talk with the schoolchildren about his love for bees. Survivors include his twin daughters, Lucia Ann Cassity and Marsha Ruth Cassity. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ruth Johns, and a brother, George L. Cassity. Services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Maple Grove Cemetery with Rev. Craig Yates officiating. Betts & West Funeral Home is honored to serve Welch and the Cassity family.
