William "Bill" Jennings Sexton

William “Bill” Jennings Sexton, age 76, passed away Friday, January 3, 2025, at his home in Garrard County, Kentucky. Bill is survived by his wife, Sandra Stinnett Sexton; one daughter, Samantha (Lee) Sexton of Jessamine County; one son, Jonathan (Christy) Sexton of Garrard County; and six grandchildren, Jonathan Wayne Sexton, Austin Yates, Abby (Tyler) Sexton, Samuel Adkins, Will Sexton, and Benjamin Sexton; and one sister, Rosemary Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Mary Anna Peel Sexton; brother, Ronald Sexton; and sister, Joyce Land. Bill was a United States Marine Corps Vietnam veteran and a trucker for UPS in Lexington, Kentucky. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, January 10, 2025, at Betts & West Funeral Home, located at 404 North Main Street, Nicholasville, Kentucky, with Bro. Bill Bales and Mickey Stinnett officiating. The burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery, where Samuel Adkins, Brad Cobb, Shane Dean, Charles Melvin Dillard, Hunter Sexton, Jackie Wayne Sexton, Jonny Wayne Sexton, Cody Stinnett, Matthew Stinnett, Michael Joe Stinnett, Morgan Stinnett, Stevie Stinnett, Ryan Weingeroff and Austin Yates will serve as bearers. Honorary bearers will be Donna Adams, Mike Hammond, Pat Hammond, Florence Stinnett, and Hugh Stotts.
