William "Billy" Hurst Sr.

William -Billy- Hurst Sr., 75, husband of 54 years to Gertrude E. Hurst, went to be with Jesus on February 13, 2009. Mr. Hurst was a former employee of Lowe-s. He was the son of Taylor and Lillie Mae Hurst. Additional survivors include sons Michael (Sharon) Hurst, William (Brenda) Hurst Jr. and Billy (Amy) Hurst, daughter Angelea (Lionel) Gonzalez, ten grandchildren, Meagan (Johnathan) Dessi, Chris, Tayler, Trey, Taylor, Sasha, Tiffany, Alyssa and Lauren, two great grandchildren, Hannah and David, numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Edmond and a sister Mary Ruth. Services will be at Noon, Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Reggie Smith and Pastor Ron Riley. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-5 and 7-9 and Monday from 5-9pm. Bearers will be Robert Eversole, Micky Damrell, Jody Eversole, Randy Hatfield, Harold Gilbert, Lee Comley, Stevie and Bob Northern. Grandsons will serve as honorary bearers.
