William Franklin "Bill" Quillen

William Franklin 'Bill' Quillen, 86, husband of D. Wanda Carter Quillen died Thursday, September 26, 2013. William was born May 31, 1927 in McDowell County WV to the late William Grant Jr. and Lillie Minton Quillen. He was a member of Nicholasville United Methodist Church, a Navy Veteran, agent and broker in Quillen Real Estate, a UK graduate, had his CLU, worked many years at Farm Bureau in Fayette County but most of all he loved the land and farming. Survivors are three children, Mary Q. Mims, William Bruce (Janice) Quillen, Denise Q. (Ron) Morgan, seven grandchildren, Grant and Allison Mims, Katelyn, Nicholas and Jonathan Quillen, Travis and Jacob Morgan, one sister, Margaret Lillian Kmeck and other family members. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Maureen Brooks and Elsie Binion. Services will be 2:00 pm Monday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
