William Harold Poindexter

Mr. William Harold Poindexter of Burkesville, Kentucky died Friday, January 13, 2023, at Cumberland Valley Manor having attained the age of 80 years 11 months, & 4 days. He was born on Kettle Creek of Cumberland County, Kentucky on Monday, February 9, 1942, the son of Hunter & Ruby (Smith) Poindexter. He was a farmer, retired woodworker and worked at OshKosh Factory, Celina, Tennessee for 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his children, daughter Kay (Poindexter) Kass, son Phillip (& Diane) Poindexter, granddaughter Monica Poindexter, all of Burkesville, Kentucky. Brother David (& Betty Sue) Poindexter of Carmel, Indiana. Nephew Brian (& Anne) Poindexter and great-niece Sydney Poindexter all of Carmel Indiana. Nephew Byron (& Kristy) Poindexter of Leesburg, Virginia.

Betts & West Funeral Home of Nicholasville, Kentucky will be handling the final arrangements. It was Harold’s request not to have a public funeral and wish to have his remains buried on the family farm in the Judio community where his family moved in 1948 when he was 6 years old; he has lived on this farm all his life in Cumberland County, Kentucky.
