William O Land

William O. Land Jr., age 73, widower of Emma Land passed away Monday, August 24, 2015 at his residence. He was born on August 1, 1942 in Jessamine County to the late William Square and Alma Fields Land. William was a retired general laborer and believed in the Pentecostal faith. William is survived by his son William A. (Mattie) Land, five grandchildren, William G. (Brittany) Land, Roland Land, Jennifer (Timothy) Sandlin, Wanda Land, Ashley (Neal) Patterson, seven great grandchildren, Hailee Whitehead, Brianna Land, Lindsey Land, Nicholas Sandlin, Jackson Patterson, William Hank Land, Loretta Emma Land, one brother Eddie Land, five sisters Goldie Alcorn, Helen Houp, Lydia Freeman, Louise Lewis and Mary Donna Johnson. Funeral service will be conducted at 12 noon Thursday at Betts & West funeral home with Ron Riley officiating. The family will receive friends from 11am until the funeral service hour of 12noon. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Shannon Alcorn, Wesley Alcorn, Neal Patterson, Timothy Sandlin, Brian Reynolds, Hassell and Robert Halcomb.
