William T. "Bill" Black

November 1, 1926 — October 3, 2008

William T. -Bill- Black, 81, husband of Helen Caudill Black, of Lone Oak Drive, formerly of West Liberty, died October 3, 2008 after a lengthy illness. He was a member of Nicholasville United Methodist Church and a member of the Masonic Lodge. Prior to his retirement he was a co-owner of American Engineering Company. He attended Morgan County High School where he was a three year All-Region basketball player. He attended KY Weslyn

College and was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Japan. Bill was an avid golfer, fisherman and hunter. In later years he enjoyed flower gardening and bird watching. He was a native of Morgan Co., son of the late Victor and Rose Litteral Black. Survivors include a niece Patricia Stacy Peck and a nephew C.K. Stacy who he regarded as his children. He is survived by additional other relatives. Services will be 11:00am Tuesday at the Nicholasville United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Snyder and Dr. Bill Moore officiating. Entombment will be

in the Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5-7pm Monday at Betts & West Funeral Home. A Masonic Rite will be held at 7:00pm Monday. Bearers will be Henry Rogers, Russ Meyers, Bernie Cornett, Denzil Elliott, John Blankenship and Hugh James Black. Honorary bearers will be V.O. Bernard and Joe D. Stacy.
