William Woods Reed

William Woods Reed, 80, husband of Dorothy Dean Burton Reed, went to be with the Lord Saturday January 3rd 2015. He was born January 12th 1934 in Mercer County to the late John Reed and the late Beatrice Woods Walters. He served his country in the Air Force and National Guard as a communication specialist. William was a loving husband, father , Granddaddy; and buddy to Chuck. Bill was a Mason, attended Nicholasville Christian Church, was a caring friend to his neighbors. He loved his farm and riding his tractor. He is also survived by three children, Catrina Reed Conway, William (Beverly) Reed II, Ruth (Mark) Reed Rowlett, six grandchildren, John Meade, Rachel Reed, Caitlyn Conway, Hailee Deger, Steven Rowlett, Ashley Rowlett, and 2 great grandchildren, Maliek , Laycee and other family members. He was also preceeded in death by his son John Howard Reed and his sister Louise Reed Teater. Funeral services will be 1 PM Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Katherine Redmond officiating. Burial will follow in Wilmore Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 8 PM.
